Good organization from the parking lot to the monastery with the shuttles. Fortunately, the crowds weren't too big, so we weren't pushed through the alleyways. There was a mass in the monastery church. It was interesting to witness this. One minus point is the high parking fees. Maybe think about a day ticket instead of paying by the hour.

Mont Saint-Michel is a wonderful location, which is a must for any traveler. You can spend a half a day visiting the island and walking around it. If the weather is good, is a memorable experience. You need good physical condition, because is very steep and you have around 200 steps to climb.

The bus runs very organized and very well; it leaves you about 150 meters away and the arrival with the Abbey in the background is spectacular. Arriving rested is a very nice walk the medieval street and the steps up to the Abbey. You enter directly and very comfortable with pre-purchased tickets.

We arrived shortly after dawn and the streets were not yet crowded. We savored from the walls the sound of the advancing tide. We immersed ourselves in visiting the marvelous abbey: I lost ( or regained) my sense of time, verticality and respect for humanity's ability to respectfully inhabit the land
